Sheriff IDs 30-Year-Old Killed Crashing Into Spotsy Tree

An early morning crash in Spotslvania has left a 30-year-old man dead after he lost control and struck a tree, officials say.

Spotsylvania resident Timothy St. Peter was pronounced dead at the scene of a one-car crash along the 11700 block of Plank Road in Spotsylvania Courthouse one day after Christmas, according to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office.

St. Peter was driving his 2003 Honda at around 6:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 26 when he struck the tree, killing him.

It is unclear what caused him to lose control before crashing.
